Hi people ...
I've been using Fedora since it was "Fedora Core 1" a while back now. Each release is as expected, better than before.
Which distro to use is a mix of personal and practical, but I do like Fedora (and, it has to be said, Ubuntu/SuSe/Debian/Puppy/Caldera/ ... and many more) so have installed distros before.
However ... I've just downloaded the new release of Fedora 10 as a dvd iso, then burnt the image to disk with nero and tried to install it. I have burned many iso's for Linux before too, but not sure where I'm going wrong here!!! [frustrated]
No joy!!!
My BIOS is set to boot from cd/dvd, but disc is not recognised as a 'bootable disk' (DRIVE reads other iso boots, so I suspect the iso is not what it's made out to be! - unless I've created the error during the burning phase myself!
Anyway, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Has anyone else tried to do the same but succeeded?
I'm sure it's going to be one of those obvious 'things' where I should have known it from experience, but ....
any help / suggestion gratefully received ...
Cheers --- "H"
